Our
farm
Westcott Farm has existed since Saxon times, before the Domesday
Book. Over the centuries it has changed shape and size a good deal
but today it consists of 145 acres of pasture and ancient oak woodland
running along the steep valley sides of the Iron Mill Stream, a
tributary of the River Exe.

Some of our pasture is very old and species rich.
Wild flowers flourish alongside a vast array of other wildlife including
badgers, buzzards, ravens, otters and of course the wild Red deer.
The whole farm is entered into the Agri Environment scheme run by
DEFRA and we are proud to have been part of the trials for the scheme
which promises to bring wide environmental benefits to farms all
over the country when it is rolled out later this year.
